Hosanna Preaching Seminars Announced
May 14, 2015 - The Israel /Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (USA) is pleased to announce a new initiative. The Hosanna Preaching Seminars, whose inaugural sessions will be Oct 27-28 2015, are designed to be a space where pastors can learn how to challenge and inspire their congregations to participate in God’s work for justice in the world, specifically in Israel / Palestine.

May 2015 — The Vatican’s official recognition of the state of Palestine is a step toward Palestinian sovereignty over their land and lives. It is a statement in support of Palestinians’ God-given humanity and their right to exist outside Israeli control.

February 2015 — In April 2012, Carol Hylkema, who at the time was serving as the moderator of IPMN, sent a letter to Jeffrey Fager, then chairman of CBS News (he has since stepped down to return as Executive Producer of “60 Minutes”), to thank him and commend reporter Bob Simon for a news story which had aired that year about Christians in the Holy Land.
Ending the Violence Is One Step Toward Liberation: Statement on the Recent Tragedies in Israel/Palestine
Nov 19, 2014 - We unequivocally condemn all acts of violence, whether committed by Israelis, Palestinians, or others, and affirm as people of faith that violence perpetrated against any of God's children is sinful.
We pray, in particular, for an end to the violence that has recently swept through Israel and Palestine. The murder of five people in a Jerusalem synagogue, the shooting of a 10-year-old child in Gaza, the hanging of a bus driver, the stabbings, the car attacks, the naval attacks on fishermen, are all tragedies and must come to an end.

November 7, 2014 — Tensions in Jerusalem, which have been simmering since the attack on Mohammed Abu Khdeir this summer, are reaching a boiling point as violence breaks out in response to police repression and Israeli provocation over Haram al-Sharif (also known as the Temple Mount or Noble Sanctuary). As Christians and Jews, we stand with our Muslim partners in demanding the Israeli government respect the rights of Muslim worshippers at Al Aqsa Mosque and refrain from escalating the situation further.
