CONGREGATIONAL STUDY GUIDE FOR KAIROS PALESTINE II

Three Christian organizations will soon jointly release a new congregational study guide for the confessional document A Moment of Truth: Faith in a Time of Genocide, the recently issued Kairos Palestine II statement from Palestinian Christian leaders. (Issued Nov. 2025).

Developed by The Palestine Justice Network (PJN) of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), with United Methodists for Kairos Response (UMKR), and Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA), the study guide will be a free digital download. It will be available at their websites in February, for use as a 2026 Lenten Study and throughout the year.

This resource invites congregations into a sacred dialogue with the Kairos Palestine II document—a living confession born from the heart of Palestinian Christian suffering. To study it during Lent, that ancient season of preparation and renewal, is to walk the path of baptism once more: to rediscover what it means to pledge our faith in Christ and to boldly renounce the sin and evil alive in our world today.

In 2025, the PC(USA) released a new resource on Palestine/Israel.

The basis of this resource is INT-01 from the 225th General Assembly (2022) which, in part, “calls us to commit to including in our discussions our global ecumenical partners and a broad range of Christian and other faith perspectives, as well as people from marginalized communities in the U.S. and front line communities in parts of the world affected by U.S. policy.” PJN Steering Committee member, Rev. Addie Domske, traveled to Dublin, Ireland to work alongside Palestinian and Presbyterian partners to contribute to the making of this resource.

PJN is here to help.

From divestment consultations to speaking engagements, we offer our expertise and network to support all who wish to strive for a just peace in the Holy Land.
