IPMN 20th Anniversary Annual Meeting and Celebration

Join IPMN for our in-person annual meeting and 20th anniversary celebration hosted at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia! We will host a welcome event the evening of Thursday, March 21, and meet all day on Friday and for a half a day on Saturday.

Cost per person: $150 (excluding accommodation and dinners on Thursday, March 21, and Friday, March 22)

Keynote speakers:

Adam Horowitz, Editor-in-Chief of Mondoweiss

Adam Horowitz is an Editor-in-Chief of the website Mondoweiss. He received his master's degree in Near Eastern Studies from New York University. He has served as the Director of the Israel/Palestine Program for the American Friends Service Committee where he gained "extensive on-the-ground experience in Israel/Palestine.” Horowitz's writing mainly focuses on the Israel-Palestine conflict, human rights, and international law. His coverage attributes indicate a preference for evolving stories related to government announcements and legal policy regulations. In addition to Mondoweiss, Horowitz has written for The Nation, AlterNet, The Huffington Post, and The Hill.com. He has spoken frequently on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict on campuses and to organizations.

Representative Ruwa Romman

Ruwa Romman is currently the Georgia State Representative for House District 97. She was born in Jordan and is the granddaughter of Palestinian refugees. Her family moved to Georgia when she was 7 years old. Romman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from Oglethorpe University in 2015 and a Masters in Public Policy from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University in 2019. Ruwa has worked as a senior consultant for a professional services management company assisting government agencies and other stakeholders by advising, implementing, and developing improved strategies to deal with major public policy issues at the local, state, and federal level. In the past, she also worked as a Field Organizer for the Georgia Muslim Voter Project, as well as served as Communications Director for CAIR Georgia. Ruwa is passionate about politics, civic engagement, interfaith dialogue and community service.
