The Israel/Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) applauds the courage of Representative Jamaal Bowman, who withdrew his support for the so-called Israel Relations Normalization Act. Despite incredible pressure to do otherwise, he withdrew his support from a bill that endangers the struggle for real justice and peace in the Middle East.

Presbyterians Must Not Turn Their Attention from Palestine

May 28, 2021 — Last week’s ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is a welcome development after an eleven day barrage of Israeli missiles killed 248 Palestinians and injured nearly two thousand others in Gaza while unguided Hamas missiles killed 14 Israelis and wounded over one hundred others. IPMN is relieved by the cessation of rocket fire—however long it may hold—as bombs can only result in death, injury, and destruction.

TODAY: In Solidarity With Palestine

May 18, 2021 — A general strike has been called for by civil society in Jerusalem and across historic Palestine to call attention to the ongoing, state sanctioned violence against the Palestinian people. Since last week, more than 220 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank and Gaza, including more than 60 children, with over 1400 wounded in Gaza alone, along with 10 Israelis who've been killed in retaliation by Hamas rockets.

Sept. 30, 2020 — We strongly condemn the recent muzzling of free speech at San Francisco State University (SFSU) on 9/23 when “tech giants” Zoom, YouTube and Facebook blocked an online webinar after being pressured by pro-Israel groups. This censorship has resulted, yet again, in a silencing of the Palestinian narrative.
